I never have any idea what to say in these things so forgive the ramble. It has escaped and is treading all over. So I went to a lovely gathering of wonderful people today. Basically it was a steampunk sewing circle here in Salt Lake with people coming in from as far as the Logan area. They handed me a pattern (waistcoat) and that got me started on a project. Now while most of the day was spent cutting out that pattern (still not done yet) I got to see them work on their own and chat with them. I spent roughly four hours doing this but it was a blast! Learning to make my own ideas come to life, and not having to rely on what the stores carry

I'm going to Steamfest Salt City this Friday and Saturday. I've put together my first ever character for this type of thing, and I think it looks awesome, even audaisicious.
